Why it made the list
I own a Mora Companion, and it's a big part of why I trust the name. I haven't put the Hunting knives to work yet, but I've had them in my hand. The handles are big, textured and comfortable, with a big finger groove that keeps your hand back from the blade. The Butcher is the stout one, with a stiff blade.

What it's for
Morakniv designed its Hunting series for every step of game processing, from field dressing and skinning to boning and butchering. The Hunting Butcher is the robust one in the set, with a stiff drop-point blade made for skinning and butchering game. Mora says the drop point lowers the risk of puncturing meat.

Looking after it

From Morakniv: rinse the blade in warm water after use and dry it right away. Don't let it air dry and never put it in the dishwasher. Store it in its sheath. A few strokes on a honing steel keeps it sharp between sharpenings.
