Why it made the list
To me this one is a cross between the Carpenter Knife and the Hunting Knife. From the spine to the edge, the blade looks narrower than the Hunting Knife, and it has a full tang. I like it as a slimmer alternative.

What it's for
Most Roselli knives are traditional Finnish knives with a hidden tang. The Heimo is the exception. It's a full tang knife: the steel runs the full length of the handle. Roselli built it for bushcraft, hunting and outdoor life. The sheath has a metal spring that holds the knife in until you pull it.

  • Made by hand in Harmoinen, Finland

Owning it

Looking after it

Wipe it dry after use and give the blade a thin coat of oil now and then. Carbon steel darkens with use. That gray patina is normal, and it helps protect the blade.

Warranty and terms

Roselli covers every new knife and axe for life against defects in materials and workmanship. They don't cover normal wear, misuse or lack of care, or small chips in their UHC steel from twisting or hitting something hard. A claim goes to Roselli with a short description and clear photos.

Parts and service

Roselli will sharpen their knives and axes for free, for life, at their factory in Finland. You pay the shipping there and back. They also replace handles and repair sheaths there, for a fee. Ask me and I'll point you to it.
