Why it made the list
An amazing little knife. It has a rounded tip and a little brass guard to keep fingers off the edge. I think it'd make a great first knife for a kid who's ready.

What it's for
Roselli designed the Little Carpenter as a first knife for beginners and kids who are ready. It has a rounded tip and a small brass guard to keep fingers off the edge, and the carbon-steel blade is sharp enough for real whittling. Made by hand in Finland and sold with a leather sheath.

Owning it

Looking after it

Wipe it dry after use and give the blade a thin coat of oil now and then. Carbon steel darkens with use. That gray patina is normal, and it helps protect the blade.

Warranty and terms

Roselli covers every new knife and axe for life against defects in materials and workmanship. They don't cover normal wear, misuse or lack of care, or small chips in their UHC steel from twisting or hitting something hard. A claim goes to Roselli with a short description and clear photos.

Parts and service

Roselli will sharpen their knives and axes for free, for life, at their factory in Finland. You pay the shipping there and back. They also replace handles and repair sheaths there, for a fee. Ask me and I'll point you to it.
