Why it made the list
It's the same shape and the same grooved handle as the Hunting Knife, in Roselli's UHC steel. Roselli says it's harder and holds an edge longer. And this one's just pretty. I like the stained handle and the darker leather sheath that goes with it.

What it's for
Roselli's classic hunting shape, forged from their ultra-high-carbon (UHC) steel. It's harder than their standard carbon steel, for an edge that lasts longer. Made by hand in Finland and sold with a leather sheath.

Owning it

Looking after it

Wipe it dry after use and give the blade a thin coat of oil now and then. Carbon steel darkens with use. That gray patina is normal, and it helps protect the blade.

Warranty and terms

Roselli covers every new knife and axe for life against defects in materials and workmanship. They don't cover normal wear, misuse or lack of care, or small chips in their UHC steel from twisting or hitting something hard. A claim goes to Roselli with a short description and clear photos.

Parts and service

Roselli will sharpen their knives and axes for free, for life, at their factory in Finland. You pay the shipping there and back. They also replace handles and repair sheaths there, for a fee. Ask me and I'll point you to it.
